Palantir revenue surges
Palantir revenue up 85 percent
Revenue at data analytics firm Palantir Technologies jumped sharply in the past quarter. The AI specialist’s growth is being driven above all by its U.S. business with government agencies and companies.
How much has Palantir’s revenue increased?
The business of data analytics firm Palantir grew rapidly again in the past quarter. According to the statement, the AI company increased revenue by 85% year over year to 1.6 billion USD. This corresponds to around 1.37 billion EUR.
At the same time, Palantir raised its forecast for the full year. Over the years, the company has built a reputation for recognizing patterns in large volumes of data. After the military and government agencies, US companies are now also expected to benefit more from this capability.
Palantir revenue benefits from US business
The current growth comes mainly from the home market. Revenue in the United States amounted to 1.28 billion USD in the past quarter, more than twice as high as a year earlier.
The business with companies in the United States developed particularly strongly. In this segment, revenue rose by 133% to 595 million USD. Business with government agencies also increased significantly, growing by 84% to 687 million USD.
What role do government agencies and the military play for Palantir?
Palantir specializes in analyzing large amounts of data. Among other things, the company supplies software used to analyze intelligence and military information.
Palantir software is used, among other things, by the Department of Homeland Security and the Pentagon. According to media reports, it was also used in the war in Iran. This means business with government agencies remains a key growth driver for the company.
High demand apparently overwhelms capacity
Palantir CEO Alex Karp said in a conference call with analysts that demand in the United States is currently so strong that the company cannot keep up. This statement underscores the momentum in the US market, where both government agencies and companies are increasingly relying on data-driven software solutions.
For Palantir, the quarter thus represents another growth spurt. The jump in revenue, the higher earnings in the US business, and the raised full-year forecast show that demand for data analytics and AI software remains high.
